Leopold I of Belgium

Leopold I of Belgium A Prince of Saxe-Coburg, he was a lieutenant general in the Russian army cavalry fighting in the Napoleonic wars. In 1816 he married Princess Charlotte of Wales. After she died in childbirth, he was made the King of Belgium in 1831. He also advised his niece Queen Victoria, and was instrumental in arranging her marriage to Prince Albert (his nephew).
